Driftwood Art 3

Driftwood Table Art – Carved Faces Depicting the Famous Red Kites of the Region

This beautiful driftwood table ornament is crafted from a naturally sculpted piece of sea washed timber, into which expressive driftwood faces have been mounted to depict the iconic red kites of the area. Each face is shaped and positioned to capture the alert, graceful presence of these magnificent birds, known for their sweeping wings, sharp features, and effortless command of the sky.

The driftwood itself carries the textures and tones of the coastline — weathered grain, soft greys, and warm browns shaped by years of tides and storms. Against this natural backdrop, the carved faces stand out with striking character, giving the piece a sense of movement and storytelling, as though the birds are emerging from the wood or watching over the landscape.

This artwork celebrates both local wildlife and coastal craftsmanship, blending natural materials with imaginative design. It works beautifully as a table centrepiece, shelf display, or conversation piece in any home that appreciates nature, artistry, and the unique spirit of the region.
